10 Must-Have Off-Road Accessories for Your Jeep Wrangler

10 Must-Have Off-Road Accessories for Your Jeep Wrangler

Off-roading is a wonderful outdoor experience where you can utilize your Jeep to its full potential. That doesn’t mean your Jeep is indestructible, though, and you need to have the proper tools readily available in case something happens. Here are some must-have off-road accessories you should keep in your Jeep Wrangler for any emergency.

Winch

While Jeeps Wranglers offer, “Up to 10.8 inches of ground clearance” (Per Car Fax), it is still common for it to get stuck when you are off-roading. That is why the first tool you want to have ready on your Jeep is a winch. A winch attaches to the front of your Jeep and can pull it out of tough spots when it gets stuck.

Tire Repair Kit

Another major incident that can occur when you off-road is a flat tire. Keeping a tire repair kit handy when you go off-roading is a must. Invest in a repair kit with all the essentials, such as a jack, so you can get back on course.

Tool Set

It is also not a bad idea to have a tool kit in your Jeep Wrangler. Wrenches, drivers, and more can really come in handy for any situation. Also, consider including work gloves that give you a better grip on tools during a repair.

Jump Starter

Have a jump starter stored in your Jeep Wrangler as well. You don’t want to get stuck out in the middle of an off-roading trail with a dead battery, especially if your vehicle is in a weird position or you’re far from home.

GPS

Exploring new terrain can be exciting, but you also want to know where you’re going. Have a GPS in your Jeep Wrangler so you can find new trails, and your way back home, easily.

Mud Flaps

Since you probably plan on taking your Jeep off-roading in all different types of elements, add mud flaps. Jeep JK mud flaps create a barrier between any debris flying up and your vehicle’s body to protect it from potential damage.

Shovel

The possibility of getting stuck in mud is high when you go off-roading. You want to have a shovel ready to dig your Jeep out.

MaxTrax

Speaking of getting your Jeep out of muddy areas, your vehicle will also need some sort of grip to get out as well. This is where MaxTrax comes in. These are boards you place under your wheels so your stuck Jeep gets back to the trail quickly.

First Aid Kit

Another must-have off-roading accessory is to have a fist aid kit handy in your car. While off-roading can be fun, you still need to exercise caution because it can be dangerous. This means injuries are possible and you want to be prepared to treat them with a first aid kit.

Flashlight

We never get to choose when accidents occur to our vehicle, and they can very well happen at night. Keep a flashlight in your vehicle, as it is difficult to make repairs out on a trail at night when you can’t see.
